GOTS CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is produced and certified to organic agricultural standards. Cotton grown this way is better for people tending the crops, wearing the clothing and the environment compared to the growing methods of conventional cotton. The production of organic crops sustains the health of soils (which helps biodiversity flourish), ecosystems and people by using natural processes rather than artificial inputs. Organic farming uses significantly less water and is better for the health of the farmers as organic cotton farming does not allow the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). Instead, it combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved. Finally, as a natural material, organic cotton is biodegradable and easy to recycle.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed by leading standard setters to define globally recognised requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of the raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to labelling, textiles certified to GOTS provide a credible assurance to the consumer.

To have your garments certified with the GOTS logo both the fabric mill and the garment manufacture must be certified by GOTS, which we can proudly say they are.
